What fearful sights shall I expect?

I want to recommend horror films that I think are underrated and overlooked or at least, not as well known as the usual list-toppers. It’ll be a very personal list. I doubt many of them will be unknown to fellow horror sickos, but I hope there will be a few surprises. If you’re a casual horror fan and are looking for some Spooky Season film inspiration, this is for you!

I’ll also be throwing in double bill ideas, podcast and book recommendations, and anything else Halloween related that has caught my eye.

Who do you think you are?

I’m a comic artist and illustrator based in Edinburgh. I generally make non-fiction comics for publications like The Nib, Washington Post, New Statesman, Buzzfeed, Vox and others. My debut graphic novel - a narrative non-fiction about the life of tennis icon Suzanne Lenglen - came out last year.

I’ve always been a big horror fan and my next long-form comic project will be in that genre.
